Power Meet Thank You

Coach Pannoni and the CVHS Wildcat Football Program want to thank each and every one of the parents who volunteered their time and support, and our sponsors to the 3rd Annual CVHS Power Meet held 30 March 2008. As always, this event would not be the huge success it was without our Wildcat volunteers! Participants arrived from across the county and the competition was fierce. Stay tuned for the results to be posted soon!

O’Connor Takes His Team to Another Championship Game

Come cheer on Wildcat Football Senior and SYA Basketball Coach Keoni O’Connor as he takes his team into another exciting SYA championship game.  Keoni has successfully coached young men in basketball with his friend Brendan Ripa for a few years.  His formula for coaching seems to be working.  Each year their team has made the playoffs.  The focus has been on teaching the boys the game, communicating,  practicing and playing hard, and most importantly…have fun.  This will be Keoni’s last season as an SYA Basketball Coach and he will be missed by his team members as he heads off to college this fall.  The SYA Basketball Commisioner gave kudos to the coaches and stated “Without you we would not have a league.  We will be losing a couple of coaches as they go off to college in the fall, if you see these boys please wish them luck and thank them for the years of service they have donated to SYA: Scott Laux, Brendan Ripa and Keoni O’Connor.  Great Job Guys!”  Great job Keoni!  The game is at Liberty Middle School, Friday March 7th at 6:45 p.m.

From the Goalpost to the Low Post

The game has changed but the hard work ethic remains.  Graduating senior and guard Chris Duble (WR) has teamed up with junior post players Luke Bowanko (OT) and David Toth (QB) to add a little extra to their off-season training program in preparation for the 2008 football season.  The guys are working to make a difference for this season’s CVHS Boys Varsity Basketball program.  The team heads off to district playoffs to battle Herndon on February 19th.
