Varsity Senior Mike Upham received the CVHS Health & Physical Education Medallion at the CVHS Senior Awards Night – it is one of the few awards permitted to be worn with his cap and gown on graduation day. Coach Pannoni stated ”As a three year starter on the Varsity Football team our award winner received an athletic and academic scholarship to Monmouth University. As a junior and senior he was ranked #1 in the Northern Region Powerlifting Championships at 249 LBS, lifting over a combined weight of 1300 LBS. He has consistently been the hardest working most dependable student in the Personal Fitness and Weight Training class, throughout his 4 years at Centreville High School.
He is a quality young man who was also on the Wildcat Leadership Council, as well as off season captain and in season captain both his junior and senior years. I highly recommend Mike Upham as a Wildcat Medallion Award Winner. He is a tremendously deserving young man.”
David Wisda (Virginia Tech) was also recognized for his outstanding achievement by recieving the CVHS Math Medallion.
David will also be able to wear his medallion with his cap and gown on graduation day. Salute to both Mike and David on their outstanding achievement and recognition.
