Senior Wildcat OT David Wisda at NFF Banquet

Senior Wildtcat OT David Wisda joins alumni Wildcat Darryl Hamilton as one of the few selected each year as a recipient of the National Football Foundation Scholarship.   David was awarded a $1,000 scholarship at the National Capital Region Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame annual High School Scholar-Athlete banquet held on March 29.  David was one of only 16 finalists from the Metro area who were nominated and accepted into the Hall of Fame at Notre Dame University.   His advanced curriculum and accomplishment of a  4.06 GPA, performance as a Centreville offensive lineman, as well as community service and activities outside of school were key to the selection process.  This past December, David was one of the few accepted into the outstanding Virginia Tech School of Engineering.  David plans to play rugby for the VT rugby club.  Look for David on the pitch behind Lane Stadium as they battle USNA, Ohio State and other worthy apponents.  Check out the VT rugby website at http://www.vtrugby.com/.
