Stop The Presses
Published September 21 2005
Our local online media continue their coverage of the 2005 football season
(not as much as we'd like, but what're ya gonna do?). This is our little bundle
of joy compiled since the start of the season. Do you have some online resource
for news about Wildcat football you'd like share?
The Washington Post
On September 20 the Washington Post pumped-up Centreville's ranking from 9 to 7. Robinson maintains their #1 spot from last week, while Oakton holds steady at 16.
In their "Short Yardage" column on September 20, the Washington Post noted that Varsity Wildcats have scored 71 points in the first quarter of the first three games this season. (you'll have to scroll-down in the article)
Rich Campbell also filed this report, "Centreville's Single-Wing Is Flying High" at WashingtonPost.com (previously highlighted on our 'Home Field' page).
Centreville Times
On September 14 the Centreville Times notes the Concorde District standings along with some "Notable Numbers." The Times also provides their "Times Top Five" in Northern Virginia. (Centreville was #2)
Centre View
Jeff Graham and Greg Wyshynski penned the article "Wildcats Continue Torrid Scoring Pace" in this September 15 article at ConnectionNewspapers.com (Centre View online).
The Connection Newspapers (Centre View online) have this September 8 report about local teams sweeping in week 1 of the season.
DC Examiner
Brian McNally of the DC Examiner provided the September 4 feature "Dudzik's impressive audition continues" in their Northern Virginia Sports column.
Television
We do realize that Channel 9 news has highlighted our Varsity Wildcats the past two weeks in their "Operation Football" segment. But, y'know, their website is truly awful and has no usable postings. We'll just enjoy talking about this one.
Have an online resource for Wildcat news?
