Freshmen Blast Rams 21-7
Cats Defeat Rams
Published October 19 2005
The
Freshmen football squad made the trek to meet their Robinson counterparts and
emerged victorious with a solid victory and a score of 21 to 7.
The offense worked their way through the evening with consistently crisp execution. Even more impressive was the Robinson squad's vulnerability to moving backwards. The Centreville defense never relented in their success of driving the Rams offense back further and further in almost every play. Sack after sack was visibly wearing on the Ram offense. The Centreville offense was stunning in its ability to prevent forward progress of the Robinson offense.
Wildcat offense was sharp, too. Both the run and air attack were successful throughout the evening, even through the last few minutes of the game. These guys never appeared tired. Like the Energizer Bunny, they just kept going, and going.
The game did have its share of head-scratchers, as the officials made a number of calls that dumbfounded spectators. This was a trend that would be amplified in the JV contest that followed.
As the JV squad took the field the Freshmen Wildcats climbed on their bus with another victory in the pocket and a final score of 21 to 7. We have photos, too! Click here to check out our gallery of Freshmen football action from the Robinson game.
