JV & Freshmen Banquet
Pizza & Certificates
Updated December 8 2005
The
CVHS cafeteria was the site for the 2005 JV and Freshmen “End of Season” banquet.
Players and their families filled the room to enjoy pizza, salad, yummy desserts
and the presentation of awards and certificates. The festivities were opened
by Coach Skinner as he reflected on the past season and encouraged the athletes
to maintain their momentum for the rest of their high school years. He detailed
the off-season opportunities available for players and answered their questions.
Then, pizza time! Players sporting dress slacks and ties lined-up to fill their
plates with pizza and other goodies. As the athletes devoured their goodies,
and families gathered their meals, a slideshow of photos from the past season
played in the front of the room. The slideshow was flanked by the freshmen
coaching staff on the left, and JV on the right.
Flaunting the Freshmen
Coach
Blumer, head coach of the Freshmen squad, started the ceremonies as plates
and cups were emptied. He introduced his coaching staff, and each coach presented
certificates to the players, along with some smiling stories of the 2005 season.
The Freshment squad wrapped-up their presentation with gifts for the coaches,
including some very impressive team photos, and a helmet, all signed by the
athletes. The entire Freshman team was awarded sweatshirts to recognize them
as Concord District Champions for this season! With that, the Freshmen families
skedaddled on outta there, and the JV coaches grabbed the microphone.
Gracious JV Gifts
The JV squad graciously accepted their certificates from
the coaches, then turned the tables! Player representatives from each skill
invited each of their specific coaches front-and-center. Stories from the 2005
season were shared with laughs and just a bit of squirming. Each coach was
presented with a thank-you gift, a hand shake, and even some man-hugs. The
JV team, players and families, made certain to extend a warm thank-you to folks
outside the team, including the editor of this website (thank you, everyone!)
and the team shutterbug, Tammi Duble.
Photos of the Festivities
Finally we could see our athletes without all those pads and helmets! Check
out our photo gallery to see these Wildcats gobble up their pizza and accept
their certificates. Many of the athletes were sporting ties—that, alone,
is worth a trip to our gallery. Click

Duble has created an online
collection of her galleries from which you can
purchase prints! The service is called SmugMug,
and you can see her collection by clicking

UPDATED: We have a new photo gallery full of fun photos from Sheryl
